What to Include on your recognition awards?
When it comes to recognition awards and trophies, there are no rules and you can include anything you like. However there are some standard elements to consider:
- Award Name: if your award or event has a special name, it’s best to include it (optional)
- Achievement/Purpose: why is the award being presented? (optional)
- Logo: adding your organization’s logo will make the award feel more corporate and professional, so consider if it’s appropriate for you situation (optional)
- Recipient Name: we recommend personalizing each award with the recipient’s name whenever possible. This adds value by making the award unique and much more meaningful. It communicates your intention as opposed to presenting something generic and off the shelf. Use phrases like “Presented to…” or “In appreciation of….” to preface recipient names (strongly recommended)
- Date: a date adds context and credibility to your award, while also serving as a reminder of when the award was presented. Some awards include a specific date, while others include a month and year, year only, or a period of time (recommended)
- Message of Appreciation: include a message of gratitude or appreciation that is intended for the award recipient. Short and concise messages (one or two sentences) are best as they will stand the test of time. If you have a longer message, it may be better to include this on an accompanying card or to express it verbally when presenting the award (recommended)
- Presenter or Donor Name: sometimes it’s appropriate to include your name to clarify who is presenting the award. This is implied and usually not necessary if you are including your organization’s logo (optional)
We Offer 3 Marking Services to Personalize and Enhance your Awards
Choose your marking method(s):
The term “marking” refers to the method used to add personalization details to a trophy or award. The marking method, and how skillfully it is applied, can really enhance the effectiveness and impact of a recognition award, so it’s helpful to understand the different marking methods that are available to personalize your order.
Eclipse Awards specializes in 3 types of markings. Every piece in our House Collection includes one marking method that best suits the piece, however, you can enhance your awards by adding additional markings.
Sandblast Engraving
Sandblast Engraving is a marking process that uses a pressurized stream of air and sand to carve directly into solid crystal. Done skillfully, the result is a crisp, elegant, and finely textured deep engraving that looks as if it was placed by magic! People are fascinated by the look and feel of sandblasting, especially when they see their name engraved in crystal. Sandblast engraving is a rare and vanishing skill, but our team of skilled and experienced artisans will ensure that the sandblast engraving on every one of your crystal awards is perfect!
Solar Laser Engraving
Regular laser engraving uses a highly focused beam of light (a laser) to burn and vaporize material which results in a dark, precise, highly detailed and permanent surface marking. Our exclusive Solar Laser Engraving takes it to the next level because our laser engraver is powered by our rooftop solar panels. So any eco-friendly awards you order with solar laser engraving are marked with clean energy from the sun!
Cosmo Print - UV Printing
Cosmo Print is a marking process that prints full color artwork directly onto the surface(s) of an award. The printed artwork is instantly cured by UV light to secure it in place, creating a high definition, vibrant and colorful surface marking.
Cosmo Print is durable, though it is considered a semi-permanent marking, which means it will last for years with normal handling, but it can be affected if scratched with a hard object.
